After the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, What Was the Meaning of His Appearance to Man?

In the Bible, it is recorded: “And as they thus spoke, Jesus Himself stood in the middle of them, and said to them, Peace be to you. But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. And He said to them, Why are you troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself: handle Me, and see; for a spirit has not flesh and bones, as you see Me have. And when He had thus spoken, He showed them His hands and His feet. And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, He said to them, Have you here any meat? And they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb. And He took it, and did eat before them” (Luke 24:36–43). Whenever I read these verses, I feel envious of Peter, John and the others. While Jesus was performing His work in Judea, He was always with His disciples day and night and, after He was resurrected, He took care of them just as He had before, and He appeared to them, expounded on the scriptures to them and gave them teachings. Peter and the others were fortunate to have been chosen by the Lord to be His disciples and they were able to hear the teachings of the Lord Jesus with their very own ears—they were so blessed! Afterward, I read God’s words, and I came to understand that the Lord Jesus’ will was actually behind His appearance to man after His resurrection, and that this deed encapsulated God’s almightiness and wisdom even more. I truly came to see that the Lord Jesus’ appearance to man after His resurrection really was so meaningful!

Whenever King David is mentioned, my mind conjures up the image of when he was in his teens and, by relying on the strength of Jehovah, he used a slingshot to kill the giant Goliath with a stone. Afterward, he went to war, won many battles and did many heroic deeds. It is also recorded in the Bible, however, that when David became the king of Israel, he had Uriah killed and then took his wife Bathsheba. God’s righteous disposition therefore came upon David and, through the prophet Nathan, God spoke to him, saying, “Now therefore the sword shall never depart from your house; because you have despised Me, and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife” (2 Samuel 12:10). King David had sinned, and God had punished him. So why did God thereafter take delight in David and say that David was a man after His own heart? I felt very puzzled by this. In order to figure this out, I sought and prayed to God many times, and I found many verses in the Bible. Through seeking and fellowshiping with my brothers and sisters, I finally found the answer.

1) The Identity and Status of God Himself
We have come to the end of the topic of “God is the source of life for all things,” as well as that of “God is the unique God Himself.” Having done so, we need to make a summary. What kind of summary? One about God Himself. Since it is about God Himself, then it must relate to every aspect of God, as well as to people’s form of belief in God. And so, first I have to ask you: Having heard the preaching, who is the God in your mind’s eye? (The Creator.) The God in your mind’s eye is the Creator.

Chinese Christian Prisoner of Conscience Adopted by Congressional Human Rights Commission
On January 29, 2019, the United States Congress’ Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission adopted a prisoner of conscience of The Church of Almighty God (CAG). Her name is Mo Xiufeng. She was sentenced to 9 years for her Christian beliefs, and is being held in prison. Prisoner of conscience are persons imprisoned arbitrarily for their religion, beliefs or other reasons, even though they do not have any criminal acts identified by international human rights organizations.

Don't listen to them, don't read their words, and don't have any contact with them!" This confused Zhang Yi, because the Lord Jesus clearly said, "And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet him" (Matthew 25:6). "My sheep hear My voice" (John 10:27). The Lord's words say that people must be wise virgins and actively seek and listen to the Lord's voice to be able to receive the Lord, but his pastor and elder try everything they can to prevent and limit believers from hearing God's voice. Why are they afraid of believers investigating the true way? … Through debates with his pastor and elder, Zhang Yi finally sees who the Pharisees are in the last days, and who is the real obstacle preventing believers from receiving the Lord.
