Christian Crosstalk | The CCP’s Tracking Service for Christians | "An Unwelcome Shadow" The crosstalk An Unwelcome Shadow describes the protagonist Han Mei's terrible experience of being persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party for believing in God. Han Mei yearns for religious freedom and dreams of escaping to a democratic country overseas, where she can freely worship and praise God.
In the dream, in her excitement, she tells her brothers and sisters about the oppression she suffered in China: Three years prior, she was arrested and sentenced by the CCP for spreading the gospel, and even after she was released, the CCP continued to pursue her as they pressured her to give up her faith, limited her contact with other believers, and used methods such as installing security cameras and listening devices, "home visits," following her, and other surveillance techniques to track her movements. They used every trick up their sleeves, like an unwelcome shadow! After experiencing pursuit, arrest, and persecution, Han Mei sees clearly the CCP's evil essence of resisting God and being an enemy of God, and so becomes determined to follow God to the end, no matter what it takes!

Spreading and testifying to Almighty God’s work of the last days—this is God’s commission to His chosen people, and the aims of The Church of Almighty God.
