God’s Word Is My Strength (Part 2)

Feb 26, 2018
By Jingnian, Canada

One night, I put my phone on the table, and I didn’t expect that my husband would pick it up and look through my chat record with my sister. He very angrily said to me, “You are still in contact with them, and your chat lasted for two hours.” Then, he showed me more negative information online. He also used various ways to monitor me and prevent me from having contact with my sister on my phone. I lost my church life again, and couldn’t get help from my sister. After that, my husband kept sending me the rumors he found online, and disturbed and obstructed me from having any contact with my brothers and sisters. My husband’s persecution and obstruction made me miserable, and unconsciously I began to feel weak again, “Why is my husband so opposed to me believing in Almighty God? I only want to believe in God, why is it so hard? When can I believe in God without so much disturbance? Is this going to be my life from now on?” When I thought of that, I tried to stop my tears from falling, but I couldn’t, and I felt especially lonely and helpless. I didn’t know how I could go on, and I can’t count how many times I cried over that feeling. In my misery, all I could do was pray to God, “God! I don’t know what to do in the face of my husband’s persecution, I don’t know how to experience this, but I believe that whatever the environment, You have Your good intentions. I ask for Your guidance and the faith to experience this.”

God’s Word Is My Strength (Part 1)

I have followed my family’s belief in the Lord since I was a child, and often read the Bible and attended meetings. After I got married, I passed the gospel of the Lord Jesus on to my mother-in-law, and after my mother-in-law began believing in the Lord, she no longer lost her temper when things happened or acted entirely on her own whims in the things she did, and the relationships in our family began to improve. My husband saw the change in his mother, so he also began believing in the Lord in 2015, and went to church with me every week. When I saw that my family was at peace after accepting the Lord’s gospel, I knew that this was the Lord’s grace, and I thanked the Lord from the bottom of my heart.

The Power of Prayer—Witnessing a Miracle Amidst Despair

Dec 7, 2018
By Zhao Zhihan, China

Dear brothers and sisters, may you share in the Lord’s inner peace. Before we begin our program, I’d like to tell everyone a story about the very first president of the United States of America, George Washington. As everyone knows, George Washington was an army general who prayed, and throughout the many great events he experienced, he witnessed God’s wondrous deeds through prayer. For example, in 1776, the army he led was beset and pursued by the British, and he retreated to a riverside and there found himself in a tight spot. At that time, Washington led his soldiers to kneel down and pray and call to God, and then they started to escape across the river under cover of night. But when the morning came, not all of his soldiers had yet managed to escape across the river, and if the British army became aware of this, they would have been in great peril. Just as the soldiers were desperate with anxiety, a miracle happened, and a thick fog drifted up between the camps of the two armies. Only when the last boat had crossed the river did the fog disperse and, in the end, not one of Washington’s soldiers was killed or wounded—they had all safely escaped. This story allows me to feel God’s almightiness and sovereignty, and to see that, so long as people call to God sincerely, then God will be their help at need, and will watch over them and protect them. The story we’ll share with you today also has to do with prayer, so let’s hear about the experiences of the Christian, Zhi Han, and see how she prays to God in her time of need.

I Found a Life More Meaningful Than Making Money

Lately a saying on the internet has been popular, “Without money, how will you support your family ties, solidify your love, and connect with your friends? With your words? Forget it! People are too busy for that!” In a society turned entirely to money, everything is dominated by such pragmatic considerations, everything material and immaterial are tokens that can be exchanged for money, and the number of bills in your pocket decide your value and status. If you have much money, others will scramble to serve and flatter you, but having no money makes others look down on you and make friends and relatives avoid you. As the saying goes “In time of prosperity, friends will be plenty; in time of adversity, not one amongst twenty.” More and more people use money to evaluate everything, believing that only being wealthy can express their individual value and allow them to live a superior life, so many people become slaves to money, willing to sacrifice everything to get more money, even their lives, health, and personal dignity. Once, I didn’t know what was the most meaningful life, so working to make money became my goal, until the day a serious illness brought sudden understanding, made me realize the dark actor behind money, and helped me find a more meaningful life than making money.

It's Important to Learn to Reflect on Yourself

Every day we will face with varieties of things, some of which are what we’ve never encountered before. If we reflect on all the things we have done in the daytime, in what matters we practiced God’s words, and in what matters we followed our own thoughts and corrupt disposition, then we can be aware of our states. After that, we should integrate God’s words to examine what we did contradicted God’s will so as to reverse the deviations and act in accordance with His will. In this way, we will make greater and greater progress in spiritual life and be more and more in line with God’s will when doing things.

God Led Me Out of the Pain of a Failed Marriage After My Wife’s Affair

Dec 21, 2018
Zhuiqiu, Taiwan

Outside the window, the sun was slowly rising and the brilliant sunshine flooded the earth. Everything was so bright. Birds hopped from branch to branch, happily chirping away—their songs were particularly pleasing to the ear. I heard a hymn “God’s Love Brings Us Close Together.” I was really moved. It’s true—only with God there is love, only with love there is family. When I was in the most pain and despair it was God who led me out of my suffering over the failure of my marriage and brought me hope; He also brought me a new pursuit. I really give thanks to God’s salvation! At that moment I stood up and walked over to the window and so many past events floated up before my eyes …

How does God incarnating to do the work of judgment bring to an end mankind’s belief in the vague God and the dark age of Satan’s dominion?

I. One Must Bear Witness to the Aspect of Truth Concerning God’s Incarnation

9. How does God incarnating to do the work of judgment bring to an end mankind’s belief in the vague God and the dark age of Satan’s dominion?

Bible Verses for Reference:

“And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of Jehovah’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. And many people shall go and say, Come you, and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of Jehovah from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. O house of Jacob, come you, and let us walk in the light of Jehovah” (Isa 2:2-5).
