Apr 18, 2019

On February 4, 2019, the European Federation for Freedom of Belief (FOB) held a conference in Florence, Italy to promote its most recent publication: Law and Freedom of Belief in Europe: an arduous journey. This book is an exploration of how to effectively protect the freedom of belief and religious freedoms of immigrants to Europe from across the world through legal means. This includes the situation of religious persecution in China and the issue of refugees belonging to The Church of Almighty God (CAG) who fled China due to religious persecution. CAG Christian’s Brilliant Performances Win Praise of Spanish Friends

In recent years, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has become increasingly frenzied in its suppression and persecution of religious belief. To avoid arrest and persecution by the CCP, some Christians from The Church of Almighty God (CAG) have escaped to Spain. On February 9, 2019, at the beginning of the new year, to thank God for His guidance and blessings, as well as to thank friends and allies from all walks of life in Spain for their constant help and support, and to enhance mutual understanding and exchange, The Church of Almighty God in Spain held a get-together at a church located in Fuenlabrada, Madrid. At the get-together, CAG Christians’ performances were well received by the audience, and the guests also had a chance to communicate with these Christians.

For years, the issue of worsening human rights in China has drawn the international community's concerns and vigorous denouncement. On December 7, 2017, the International Society for Human Rights (ISHR), headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany, held a news conference in Cologne on the Current Situation of Human Rights in China. Those invited to attend the forum were experts concerned about the human rights situation in China, representatives of persecuted groups in China, the press corps and so on. The Church of Almighty God, which has been subject to brutal suppression and persecution for years by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), has gained the understanding and support of increasingly more international organizations recently. At the press conference, Christians of The Church of Almighty God addressed the audience as victims of persecution. ISHR expressed that the purpose for convening the press conference was to inform the international press corps of the dire human rights situation in China currently, while stressing that China is the country with the most serious human rights violations in the world, and China’s ruling party, the Chinese Communist Party, has committed the most serious crimes against human rights in China.
