He first read a passage of God’s word for me: “Those who truly follow God are able to withstand the test of their work, whereas those who do not truly follow God are incapable of withstanding any of God’s trials. Sooner or later they will be expelled, while the overcomers will remain in the kingdom” (“God’s Work and Man’s Practice”). Then, he said: “Every person who follows God’s work of the last days must go through the rumors. This is a spiritual battle. Those who follow God with a true heart can see things according to God’s words and facts, having discernment of Satan’s rumors and schemes. But those who follow God without a true heart are unable to seek God’s will in various environments. What they can do is blindly believing Satan’s rumors and fallacies. In August of 2015, we suspended business operations because the company was not doing well, and I returned home. At that time, I felt very depressed, and would get drunk and play cards all day.
